Westworld soundtrack composer Ramin Djawadi plays the Westworld Main Title Theme" on piano. Description: Westworld Theme Song, Main Theme. This polysemous image, the first of many in the HBO show's title sequence, welcomes you to a world in which things feel very much out of place. Westworld Season 2 is set to premiere on HBO on Sunday, April 22 at 9pm ET.

To mark the end of the first season of HBO's Westworld, I'll be giving you a Westworld Guitar Tutorial! This is the opening theme music for Westworld. There's been a great development with scale on TV, but my approach is always the same across projects, whether it's a video game, a movie, or a TV show, I always try to set up my sounds and my themes.

Having been a lifelong fan of Westworld" starting with the 1973 movie, Clair tells TheWrap how he pursued the opportunity to pitch his take on the main titles for HBO's new version of the story, and collaborated with showrunners including Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy to come up with what we see on the show now.

The very talented guitarist Eric Calderone who is also known as 331Erock " performed a truly befitting heavy metal cover of the Ramin Djawadi -scored opening theme from the darkly futuristic HBO series Westworld per his own volition and many fan requests.

Even this video - before ten years ago you'd never see a video of the original composer playing a tv theme. The two big sides to the score are, on the one hand, the Western-inspired music that we use when we are in the theme park - that has a lot of acoustic instruments, kind of reminiscent of the Western genre, with acoustic guitars, and so forth.

Ramin Djawadi's blend of classical orchestration and electronica in darkly dramatic recurring themes and instrumental pop-music covers deserves a lot of credit for the show's appeal. Though the opening flutes of the Discovery theme recall both the Orignal Series and The Next Generation, the bulk of music feels more like a contemporary cable drama than any previous Trek.

In, say, 20 years time, you might not remember any specific images from the Westworld credits, but you'll likely remember that it was black and white. Also a plus that Ramin Djawadi kills the score in these episodes. Westworld, for example, has an exquisite theme song that could stand on its own.

So far, we've been treated to Radiohead and Soundgarden performed on a saloon-bar player piano, and an orchestral version of the Rolling Stones' Paint It Black, which provided the dramatic soundtrack to a climactic, and gory, gun battle in the show's opening episode.

This trailer features Kanye West's Runaway" plunked out on the piano and sources tell me that Nirvana's Heart-Shaped Box," among others, will also appear on the Season 2 soundtrack. Now HBO has made available the Westworld piano covers by Ramin Djawadi. Or like with Paint It Black," you think, Oh, that's when Hector comes to town and there's that big shootout." The song just reminds you of it. Everything's planned out with the big scenes, including the music.

The nominees are FX's Feud: Bette and Joan ," Nat Geo's Genius," CBS All Access's The Good Fight," Netflix's Stranger Things ," PBS's Victoria" and HBO's Westworld" Of note, Feud: Bette and Joan" and Genius" are competing against each other in Best Limited Series while Stranger Things" and Westworld" are going toe-to-toe in Best Drama Series.

There was only one piano piece in the entire sixth season of Game of Thrones, whereas in Westworld, the piano is used everywhere. Ramin Djawadi's piano-driven theme to Westworld" is as chilling as the androids and their creators in the show. Both songs successfully paint the scenes with a dark cast, like Westworld paints most things except for Dolores's cheery painting.
